Indonesian women’s volleyball team defeats Hong Kong in AVC Nations Cup playoff

The Indonesian women’s volleyball team recorded an important victory over Hong Kong in the AVC Nations Cup 2025 playoff at Dong Anh Sport Arena, Hanoi, Vietnam. Coach Octavian’s squad secured a 3-1 win (25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-15).

The combination of Ersandrina Devega Salsabilah, Ajeng Viona Adelea, and Dinda Syifa Amelia — produced solid blocks that helped the team recover after falling behind. The Indonesian team, which previously qualified from the group stage with two victories, now has a chance to compete for fifth place.

The opening set started with Indonesia trailing 1-4 to 6-9 — ball reception issues being the main obstacle. However, after a timeout, the team managed to improve their game and secure the victory.

With this result, Indonesia will face the winner between Iran or Australia for the tournament’s fifth position.
