Indonesian women’s doubles pair, Siti Sarah Azzahra/Agnia Sri Rahayu, demonstrated courageous play against fourth seeds from Japan in the second round of the 2025 Asian Championships at Ningbo Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium, China.

Their opponents — Rin Iwanaga/Kie Nakanishi — are experienced players who collected five titles last year, including:

  • Spain Masters
  • Malaysia Masters
  • US Open
  • Canada Open
  • Denmark Open

Despite being newcomers to the World Tour Super 300 level, Siti Sarah/Agnia — recent runners-up at Singapore International Challenge 2025 — managed to put up a fierce resistance.

The match remained tight with Siti Sarah/Agnia nearly equalizing at 11-12 after trailing 6-11. However, inconsistent play and several unforced errors led to a significant deficit at 12-20, before ultimately conceding the match with an unfavorable final score.
