Indonesian Volleyball Team to Face Thailand in SEA V League 2025 Opener

The Indonesian national volleyball team is preparing for a tough challenge at SEA V League 2025, set to take place at Candon City Arena, Philippines. Rivan Nurmulki‘s squad will open their campaign against Thailand in the tournament opener.

The first leg of the competition will run from July 9-13 with a different format from previous editions — now involving five teams after Cambodia joined as a new participant.

National team assistant coach Erwin Rusni emphasized the importance of being cautious against all participating teams.

“All teams are now equally strong, they’re all at the same level. After returning from AVC, we’ve been working on fixing our numerous weaknesses, including first ball reception, service, and defense,” Rusni stated.

The national team is currently focusing on improving several aspects of their game following an inconsistent performance at the AVC Nations Cup 2025.
