Indonesian volleyball team stopped in AVC Nations Cup quarterfinals

The Indonesian men’s volleyball team coached by Jeff Jiang Jie had to end their journey at the AVC Nations Cup 2025 after being defeated by Pakistan in the quarterfinals held at Isha Sport City Hall, Manama, Bahrain.

The national squad — strengthened by Rivan Nurmulki as their key player — had to accept defeat with a score of 1-3 (25-20, 21-25, 20-25, 17-25) against Pakistan, last year’s tournament runner-up.

Rivan Nurmulki emerged as the top scorer with 20 points — surpassing Pakistan’s captain Murad Jehan who collected 18 points. Meanwhile, Doni Haryono contributed by adding 11 points for Indonesia.

This defeat means Indonesia — who previously showed promising gameplay — must now compete in the 5-8 ranking playoffs.
