Indonesian Volleyball Team Rises from Setback Against Thailand in AVC Nations Cup

The Indonesian men’s national volleyball team under Jeff Jiang Jie recorded a dramatic victory over Thailand in Group A match of AVC Nations Cup 2025 at Isa bin Rashid Hall, Manama, Bahrain.

The Red and White squad led by Rivan Nurmulki faced serious problems — consecutive service errors caused them to fall behind in the first two sets.

  • Hendra Kurniawan
  • Boy Arnes Arabi
  • Farhan Halim

These three players struggled with their service execution, but the team managed to bounce back to win the match with a score of 3-2 (22-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-8).

The match actually started smoothly with Rivan Nurmulki and Fahri Septian Putratama showing aggressive attacks — putting Indonesia ahead 10-5. However, momentum stopped when Thailand’s coach, Park Ki-won filed a protest regarding the referee’s decision about a block out from Fahri Septian’s powerful spike.
