Indonesian volleyball team loses to Australia in AVC Nations Cup finale

The Indonesian national volleyball team concluded their AVC Nations Cup 2025 campaign with a decisive loss to Australia in the 5-6th place match at Isa Bin Rashed Hall, Manama, Bahrain.

Coach Jeff Jiang Jie‘s squad succumbed to Australia with a score of 0-3 (20-25, 21-25, 22-25) — a result that placed Indonesia in sixth position of the tournament.

The coach made changes to the starting six by not fielding Rivan Nurmulki and Doni Haryono. Their positions were filled by Boy Arnez Arabi and Rama Fazza Fauzan, while Jasen Natanael Kilanta replaced Dio Zulfikri as setter.

The match started intensely — both teams traded points until 3-3. Australia built a lead to 6-3 after capitalizing on errors from Rama Fazza and Farhan Halim. Indonesia briefly took the lead at 10-9 after collecting four consecutive points, but failed to maintain momentum until the end of the match.
