Indonesian volleyball team fails to overtake Vietnam in latest world rankings

The Indonesian men’s volleyball team has yet to improve their position in the latest world rankings released today.

Doni Haryono and his national teammates only gained 4.25 points after defeating Vietnam in the 5-8 classification match of AVC Nations Cup 2025 — the victory came through a five-set battle.

The previous loss to Bahrain in straight sets caused Rivan Nurmulki’s team to lose 8 points. Total points lost reached 12 — including the defeat against Pakistan.

Despite succeeding in beating Vietnam, points gained from this victory were not enough to shift their position which remains one level below their opponents.
