Indonesian volleyball team faces tough challenge in AVC Nations Cup quarter-finals

The Indonesian men’s volleyball team faces a major challenge at the AVC Nations Cup 2025 — they must confront Pakistan in the quarter-finals after finishing as Group A runners-up.

Farhan Halim and his teammates under coach Jeff Jiang Jie had to settle for second place after suffering a decisive 0-3 loss to host nation Bahrain in their final group stage match.

Pakistan — coached by Rahman Mohammadirad — has shown impressive form since the group phase with consistent victories after defeating Philippines in their opening match. The team was also last year’s tournament runners-up.

If successful against Pakistan, Indonesia will face an even tougher challenge in the semifinals — they must meet either Vietnam or Qatar, both possessing considerable strength that cannot be underestimated.
