Indonesian volleyball team changes three players ahead of SEA V League 2025

The Indonesian men’s volleyball team has made roster changes ahead of SEA V League 2025, which will be held in two legs — in the Philippines and Indonesia this July.

Assistant coach of the Indonesian men’s national volleyball team, Erwin Rusni, confirmed the replacement of three players in the squad. M Malizi is replaced by Cep Indra in the middle blocker position, while two liberos — Ruby Rahmanto and Hendrik Agil — are replaced by Irpan and Prasojo.

“Malizi is replaced by Cep Indra because he must attend training camp for the Commander’s Cup preparation at his unit, the Navy. Ruby is also a Navy member,” explained Erwin.

“For the libero position, we coaches agreed to make changes because during the recent AVC Nations Cup, our first ball reception was not optimal. Hopefully, the new liberos can satisfy and improve our defense and receive,” he added.

The team led by Rivan Nurmulki previously finished sixth at the AVC Nations Cup 2025 in Manama, Bahrain, about a week ago.
