Indonesian U-16 men’s volleyball team advances to Asian Championship quarterfinals

The team coached by Indra Wahyudi has advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2025 Asian U-16 Volleyball Championship taking place in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.

In their final Group B match, the squad led by Bayu Pamungkas displayed dominant performance — defeating Hong Kong with a decisive score of 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-20).

From three total matches in Group B, Indonesia recorded two crucial victories — overcoming Kazakhstan and Hong Kong, despite suffering a 1-3 loss to Iran in the opening match.

The quarterfinal ticket was further secured after Kazakhstan suffered a defeat against Iran — the defending champions proved too strong for Alexey Terenin’s team.
