Indonesian men’s volleyball team claims dramatic victory over Thailand in SEA V League

At the Jakarta International Velodrome, Indonesia men’s national volleyball team overcame Thailand with a score of 3-2 (27-29, 25-15, 25-23, 22-25, 15-13) in leg 2 of SEA V League 2025.

Jeff Jiang Jie, Indonesia men’s volleyball team coach, has begun mapping team strengths ahead of the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand — based on results from AVC Nations Cup and SEA V League.

“The match was extraordinary, with ups and downs, but we finally won,” said Jeff Jiang Jie. “Some young players were under pressure, but they performed well and gained valuable experience.”

Jeff Jiang Jie’s squad has shown positive progress by securing sixth place in AVC Nations Cup, runner-up in SEA V League leg 1, and championship in leg 2 — achievements that provide valuable momentum heading into SEA Games this December.

“Our key to victory was home advantage. We played for Indonesia, everyone fought for it and won the match, that’s what matters most,” added the New Zealand-born coach.
