Indonesian junior volleyball team ready to face challenges at Asian U-16 Championship

The Indonesian junior national volleyball team under coach Indra Wahyudi is preparing for the 2025 Asian U-16 Volleyball Championship in Thailand.

The young squad will depart for Thailand today — with their first match scheduled to begin in two days. The competition venue is located in the Nakhon Pathom region of central Thailand.

Indonesia is drawn in Group B alongside:

  • Iran
  • Hong Kong
  • Kazakhstan

A tough challenge awaits the Indonesian team — they must face defending champions Iran in their opening match. Iran won the inaugural edition of this championship held in Uzbekistan.

With a competition format requiring the top two teams to advance to the quarterfinals, Indonesia is targeting a semifinal appearance in their tournament debut.
