Indonesian Junior Badminton Team Dominates Myanmar in Asian Championships

The Indonesian badminton team — competing in the 2025 Asian Junior Championships — started the tournament with a commanding victory over Myanmar at GOR Indoor Manahan, Solo.

Team captain Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah opened Indonesia’s scoring campaign in the first men’s singles match — defeating Nyan Shaine Lin 11-2 in the relay system competition consisting of 10 matches.

“Alhamdulillah, we were blessed with victory today and avoided any injuries,” stated Ubaidillah after the match.

“The game went well, we had two practice sessions on the court yesterday. We had to adapt to the strong wind conditions, so control was essential.”

The captain, commonly known as Ubed, added — despite the advantage, he remained cautious against his opponent.

“I didn’t want to underestimate them, I wanted to maintain pressure to secure points quickly,” he explained.
