Indonesian Coach Leads Malaysian Doubles Team to Outstanding Achievements

Malaysian badminton doubles sector has recorded remarkable achievements under Indonesian coaching leadership. According to BWF World Tour records, the Malaysian team has collected four championship titles and three runner-up positions in the ASEAN tournament series.

The pair of Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik — dominated by winning Thailand Open and Singapore Open 2025. Meanwhile, Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun marked their success by claiming the Malaysia Masters title, and women’s doubles Pearly Tan/Thinnah Muralitharan emerged victorious at Thailand Open.

Under the guidance of Rexy Mainaky as coaching director and Herry Iman Pierngadi as men’s doubles coach — the Malaysian team consistently sent representatives to the finals in each tournament. Three runner-up titles were secured by Chia/Soh at Malaysia Masters, along with Man/Tee and Tan/Thinaah at Indonesia Open 2025.
