Indonesia women’s volleyball team defeats Iran in AVC Nations Cup 2025 playoff

The Indonesian women’s volleyball team — coached by Oktavian — secured a crucial victory against Iran in the AVC Nations Cup 2025 playoff match at Dong Anh Gymnasium, Hanoi.

The Red and White squad showed dominant performance by defeating Iran in four sets with scores:

• 25-17
• 25-15
• 23-25
• 25-20

This victory serves as sweet revenge — following Indonesia’s previous 2-3 loss to Iran during Group B preliminary round.

Zahra Karimi, middle blocker from Saipa Tehran team, expressed her disappointment after the match.

“I told the team players not to feel tired, unfortunately, we didn’t achieve the desired result,” said Karimi.
