Indonesia women’s team starts Asian Cup qualification with narrow victory

The Indonesia women’s national team successfully started their 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualification campaign with a narrow victory — defeating Kyrgyzstan 1-0 in a Group D match at Indomilk Arena, Tangerang.

Isa Warps became the hero of the match after scoring the only goal in the 65th minute that secured three points for the Red and White team.

Satoru Mochizuki’s squad dominated the game throughout, but Safira Ika and her teammates failed to capitalize on several created opportunities.

“We’re happy to win the first match even though it was only 1-0,” said Satoru Mochizuki after the game.
