Indonesia women’s team fails against Pakistan in 2026 Asian Cup qualification

The Indonesia women’s national team experienced a disappointing result against Pakistan in the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualification match held in Tangerang.

The squad under Satoru Mochizuki — ranked 95th in FIFA rankings — failed to meet expectations against Pakistan team positioned 157th globally.

Previously, Garuda Pertiwi secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Kyrgyzstan thanks to a goal from Isa Warps. Indonesia’s team composition showed heavy reliance on naturalized players:

  • Isa Warps
  • Felicia de Zeeuw
  • Emily Nahon
  • Iris de Rouw

Group D qualification also includes Taiwan who occupies 42nd FIFA rank — becoming the highest-ranked team in the group hosted by Indonesia.
