Indonesian Women’s Volleyball Team Ready for AVC Nations Cup 2025

According to the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the Indonesian women’s national volleyball team will participate in the upcoming 2025 AVC Nations Cup, scheduled to take place in Hanoi, Vietnam, from June 7–14, 2025.

This tournament will contribute valuable FIVB ranking points and is considered a key opportunity for national teams in Asia.

Shift in Strategy—Indonesia to Field Strongest Line-Up

Unlike their 2024 campaign, where only young players were selected, this time Indonesia is set to field their strongest senior squad for the competition. The move signals the team’s growing commitment to competing at a higher level in Asia.

Vietnam Remains the Team to Beat

Previously known as the AVC Challenge Cup in 2023 and 2024, the tournament has been dominated by host nation Vietnam, who clinched back-to-back titles.

In the previous edition, Indonesia participated with a squad entirely composed of under-20 players, securing two wins — against Singapore and Hong Kong — but falling short of reaching the knockout rounds.
