Indonesia vs Russia Friendly Planned for September 2025

According to RIA Novosti, Sergei Tolchenov, Russian Ambassador to Indonesia, revealed plans for a friendly match between the Indonesia national football team and the Russia national football team, likely to take place in September 2025.

The date was selected because Indonesia will have completed its 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers in June, making September a suitable window for international friendlies.

“Indeed, September is a feasible period for organizing a match between our national teams,” Tolchenov said.

“It depends on the qualification schedule for international tournaments. In June and September, Indonesia has a window for such international friendlies,” he added.
