Indonesia U-19 Women’s Team Drawn with Defending Champions Thailand

According to the ASEAN U-19 Women’s Cup 2025 official draw, the Indonesia U-19 women’s national team has been placed in Group B alongside defending champions Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia.

The tournament, set to take place from June 9–18 in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, features eight nations divided into two groups. Group A includes host Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, and Timor Leste.

Tough Challenge Against Defending Champions

Indonesia will face a stern challenge as they kick off the group stage against Thailand, who won the 2023 edition and are considered favorites once again. Thailand has built a strong youth system and consistently dominates the regional stage.

Indonesia’s Growing Ambitions

The Garuda Pertiwi U-19 squad, coached by Rudy Eka Priyambada, has been showing improvement in recent tournaments. Despite not progressing past the group stage in the 2023 edition, Indonesia has invested in youth development and aims to reach at least the semifinals this year.

This group stage draw presents both a challenge and an opportunity — with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals, every point will be crucial.
