Indonesia U-23 team to play three friendlies ahead of ASEAN Cup

Indonesia U-23 national team manager Ahmed Zaki Iskandar announced plans for three friendly matches — potentially including fixtures against Liga 1 2025/2026 clubs before competing in the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025.

Gerald Vanenburg‘s squad is currently conducting a training camp in Jakarta with 28 players called up — though only 23 will make the final tournament roster.

The ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 will be held in Jakarta and Bekasi in mid-July, with Indonesia drawn in Group A alongside:

• Malaysia
• Philippines
• Brunei Darussalam

This Southeast Asian tournament will run for two weeks — providing an opportunity for the Red and White squad to demonstrate their capabilities at the regional level.
