Indonesia U-23 ready to face Vietnam in ASEAN Cup U-23 final

Indonesia U-23 national team is preparing to face Vietnam in the 2025 ASEAN Cup U-23 final scheduled for next Tuesday — a match that serves as a repeat of the 2023 final.

Two years ago, the Young Garuda squad under Shin Tae-yong reached the final after advancing from Group B alongside Malaysia and Timor Leste. The national team then defeated Thailand 3-1 in the semifinal, but had to accept defeat to Vietnam through penalties 6-5 after the match ended 0-0.

Now under Dutch coach Gerald Vanenburg, the U-23 national team still retains six players from the 2023 squad — showing continuity in team composition heading into the anticipated final.
