Indonesia U-23 secured their spot in the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 final after defeating Thailand on penalties at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta.

The semifinal match was tightly contested — Thailand took the lead through Yotsakon Burapha’s goal in the 60th minute. Gerald Vanenburg’s team managed to equalize in the 83rd minute when Jens Raven headed in from Rayhan Hannan’s corner kick.

The 1-1 scoreline remained until the end of regular time and continued into extra time. With no goals in the additional period — the winner was finally determined through a penalty shootout drama won by Indonesia.
