Indonesia U-19 Women’s team falls to Cambodia in ASEAN Cup

The Indonesia U-19 Women’s team suffered another disappointing result in the ASEAN U-19 Women’s Championship 2025 at Dat Duc Stadium, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

Akira Higashiyama and his squad failed to bounce back from their heavy 1-6 defeat against Thailand in the opening match — now having to acknowledge Cambodia’s superiority in the second matchday of Group B.

Despite dominating from the start of the match, Garuda Pertiwi struggled to create dangerous opportunities — it was Cambodia who managed to take the lead through Moa Ratha’s right-footed shot from inside the penalty box in the eighth minute.

This result leaves the Indonesia U-19 Women’s team still anchored at the bottom of Group B without points.
