Indonesia U-17 team closes group stage with victory over Afghanistan

Indonesia U-17 national team secured a 2-0 victory over Afghanistan in their final Group C match of AFC U-17 Cup 2025 at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium, Jeddah.

Nova Arianto‘s team needed until injury time to break the deadlock — two winning goals were scored by Alberto in the 90+4 minute and Zahaby Gholy in the 90+6 minute.

“First, I want to thank the players for their hard work,” stated Nova Arianto after the match.

The Indonesia U-17 head coach also appreciated Afghanistan’s performance — despite being the lowest-ranked team in Group C.
