Indonesia’s U-17 National Team will face Afghanistan in their final 2025 U-17 Asian Cup group-stage match on April 11 — a dead rubber, as neither team’s fate hinges on the result.

The Garuda Asia squad has already secured a quarterfinal berth as Group C winners after defeating Yemen 4-1 earlier this week. Afghanistan, meanwhile, was eliminated following losses to Yemen (0-2) and South Korea (0-6).

Regarding the results, Indonesia young midfielder Evandra Florasta expressed gratitude for the decisive victory over Yemen, which also guaranteed Indonesia’s qualification for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

“It’s a crucial results for us to go forward,” Florasta stated.
