The Indonesia U-17 national team, under the guidance of head coach Nova Arianto, has secured a spot in the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup, which is scheduled to take place this November.

The Young Garuda earned their place in this prestigious tournament after finishing as winners of Group C in the 2025 AFC U-17 Asian Cup, thereby advancing to the quarter-finals — a feat that granted automatic qualification to the World Cup.

Nova Arianto’s squad displayed an impressive and flawless performance in the group stage, securing three consecutive victories:

  • Defeated South Korea 1-0

  • Overcame Yemen 4-1

  • Conquered Afghanistan 2-0

Despite the strong start, the Red and White team’s campaign came to an abrupt end in the quarter-finals, where they suffered a heavy 0-6 defeat to North Korea — a result that highlights areas in need of improvement ahead of their World Cup appearance.

The upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup will offer Indonesia U-17 a valuable chance to test themselves against the world’s best, while providing crucial experience for the nation’s rising football talents.
