Indonesia U-16 men’s volleyball team falls to Iran in opening match

The Indonesia U-16 men’s volleyball team under Indra Wahyudi suffered a defeat in their opening match of the 2025 Asian U-16 Volleyball Championship in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.

Facing defending champions Iran, the Indonesian squad had to concede with a score of 1-3 (25-21, 21-25, 19-25, 24-26) — showing fierce resistance throughout the four-set match.

Bayu Pamungkas and Raka Dwi Prasetyo led Indonesia’s efforts, while Iran relied on Azhvan Namazi as their offensive catalyst — making the match dynamic from start to finish.

After winning the first set, Indonesia’s performance declined against Iran’s varied attacks led by Maziar Fallahkharyeki — resulting in losses in the next three sets.
