Indonesia to host 2025 ASEAN U-23 Cup, Young Garuda in Group A

The 2025 ASEAN U-23 Cup will be held at two Jakarta venues — Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium and Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium from July 15-29.

Indonesia U-23 national team is placed in Group A alongside three neighboring countries:

  • Malaysia
  • Philippines
  • Brunei Darussalam

Group B consists of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, while Thailand, Myanmar, and Timor Leste are drawn in Group C.

Gerald Vanenburg will lead the Young Garuda in this tournament — which also serves as preparation for the 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers.

Indonesia U-23’s group stage schedule: against Brunei Darussalam (July 15), Philippines (July 18), and Malaysia (July 21).

Vietnam is the defending champion after defeating Indonesia in the previous edition’s final, while Young Garuda won this tournament about 6 years ago in Cambodia.
