Indonesia Thrash Yemen 4-1, South Korea Dominate Afghanistan in U-17 Asian Cup

According to PSSI, the second matchday of Group C at the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2025 was held at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium, Jeddah, featuring two decisive matches that shaped the group standings.

In the opening fixture, Indonesia U-17 put on a commanding display with a 4-1 victory over Yemen.

  • Zahaby Gholy opened the scoring with a stunning long-range strike in the 15th minute.

  • Ten minutes later, Fadly Alberto doubled the lead with a powerful header assisted by Gholy.

Yemen managed to reduce the deficit through a penalty goal by Mohammed Al-Garash early in the second half, but Garuda Asia remained in control and sealed the three points with confidence.

In the second match, South Korea U-17 displayed complete dominance, cruising to a 6-0 win over Afghanistan. The Ginseng Warriors bounced back strongly after their opening loss to Indonesia, reasserting their presence in the group.

These results mean Indonesia remain unbeaten with six points, while South Korea’s victory revives their qualification hopes ahead of the group’s final matchday.
