Indonesia Targets Points against Japan after Securing Qualification

After officially securing a place in the fourth round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers, Indonesia is now setting its sights on gaining points in their final Group C match against Japan.

Victory Over China and Bahrain’s Loss Seal Indonesia’s Progress

Indonesia’s qualification was confirmed following a 1-0 win over China at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, combined with Bahrain’s 2-0 defeat to Saudi Arabia. These results made Indonesia’s position in the standings mathematically uncatchable, allowing the Garuda squad to advance with one match to spare.

With 12 points from five matches, Indonesia currently sits in second place, trailing group leaders Australia who have 16 points. Saudi Arabia is close behind with 13, while China and Bahrainboth on six points — have been eliminated from contention.
