A week after Eid al-Fitr, Indonesian badminton players will return to competition at the 2025 Asian Championships in Ningbo, China — a prestigious event scheduled for April 8-13.

The Indonesian team is sending a full squad with four representatives in each category, with an exception in men’s singles. The three players who will compete are Jonatan Christie, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, and Alwi Farhan — while Anthony Sinisuka Ginting remains absent due to prolonged injury.

Ginting’s unrecovered condition has forced him to apply for ranking protection to secure his position in world rankings. After the Asian Championships, the badminton calendar will continue with continental tournaments in Europe and America, followed by the 2025 Sudirman Cup — the most prestigious mixed team championship in the world.
