Indonesia placed in bottom pot for 2026 World Cup qualifiers

According to Footy Ranking analysis, the fourth round of 2026 World Cup Asian qualifiers — set to be held in Saudi Arabia and Qatar this October — has announced the team pot distribution.

The two host nations, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, have been granted the privilege of occupying the first pot, while Iraq and United Arab Emirates are placed in the second pot. Indonesia National Team along with Oman are positioned in the final pot.

The competition will utilize a round robin system with three matches scheduled for:

• October 8, 2025
• October 11, 2025
• October 14, 2025

Indonesia National Team stands as the only contestant ranked outside FIFA’s top 100 — yet has managed to reach this crucial phase where two best teams will secure direct tickets to the 2026 World Cup.
