Indonesia national team crushed 6-0 by Japan in World Cup 2026 qualifiers

The Indonesia national team suffered a heavy defeat against Japan in the 2026 World Cup Asian zone qualifiers at Suita City Football Stadium, Osaka.

Patrick Kluivert’s squad had to acknowledge the hosts’ superiority with a 6-0 score — a match that marked the closure of the third round of qualifications for both teams.

Despite fielding a second-string team with three debutants, Japan demonstrated their dominance. Daichi Kamada scored twice in the 15th minute and first-half injury time, while four other goals were contributed by:

  • Takefusa Kubo (19th minute)
  • Ryoya Morishita (55th minute)
  • Shuto Machino (58th minute)
  • Mao Hosoya (80th minute)

The Indonesian national team appeared powerless in Osaka — unable to register a single shot on target throughout the 90 minutes of play.
