Alex Pastoor and Sjoerd Woudenberg, the assistant coach and goalkeeping coach of the Indonesian national team, recently visited Emil Audero at Palermo FC‘s Stadion Renzo Barbera.

The visit coincided with the unexpected postponement of Palermo FC‘s match against Carrarese due to the passing of Pope Francis, which affected the entire football community.

Pastoor shared on Instagram:

“We visited our goalkeeper Emil Audero and had a very pleasant and valuable meeting. Due to the Pope’s passing, the match against Carrarese has been canceled.”

The visit was an opportunity for the coaches to check on Audero‘s fitness and recovery progress, as he continues to be a key player for both Palermo FC and the Indonesian national team.

The match cancellation, while somber, allowed for a rare moment of connection between the coaches and Audero, who has been playing a crucial role in Palermo FC‘s campaign. The team’s performance remains critical as they look to secure their position in the league.
