Following World Cup 2026 qualification matches, Indonesia’s national team has climbed four spots in the latest FIFA rankings, as reported by PSSI.

Erick Thohir, PSSI Chairman, expressed his pride in the Red and White Team’s achievement of reaching 123rd position — their best ranking in 15 years.

“Alhamdulillah, yesterday’s victory over Bahrain has lifted Indonesia’s FIFA ranking by four positions. Indonesia now stands at 123rd position,” said Erick Thohir.

This ranking improvement comes after Indonesia’s national team played two matches in Group C Third Round of World Cup 2026 Asian qualifiers — suffering a 5-1 defeat against Australia and securing a 1-0 victory over Bahrain.

Patrick Kluivert’s team still has opportunities to improve their ranking with two upcoming matches:

  • Against China in June 2026
  • Facing Japan five days later

“We will continue working hard. We are also striving to bring Indonesia into the world’s top 100 rankings,” added Erick Thohir.
