Indonesia men’s volleyball team suffers heavy defeat against Bahrain in AVC Nations Cup

Indonesia men’s national volleyball team experienced a decisive defeat against Bahrain with a score of 0-3 (13-25, 25-27, 22-25) in the AVC Nations Cup 2025 match at Isa bin Rashid Hall, Manama.

Coach Jeff Jiang Jie fielded the main formation with Jasen Nataniel Kilanta as setter — supported by the attacking trio of Doni Haryono, Farhan Halim, and Rivan Nurmulki.

Host team Bahrain appeared with their best squad:

• Mahmood Alafyah as setter
• Hasan Al Warqaa and Mohamed Abdulla in middle blocker positions
• Naser Anan and Mohammed Yaqoob as outside hitters
• Ali Khamis Ebrahim in opposite position

Indonesia struggled from the start of the match — falling behind 4-9 to Bahrain who displayed more aggressive attacks.
