Indonesia men’s volleyball team faces Thailand in SEA V League 2025 opener

Indonesia men’s national volleyball team is ready to begin their SEA V League 2025 campaign with a tough challenge — facing defending champions Thailand at Candon City Arena, Philippines.

The tournament running from July 9-13, 2025 features five participating teams — Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and newcomer Cambodia who qualified after winning last year’s SEA V Challenge.

Dio Zulfikri and his national team teammates carry positive momentum after defeating Thailand last month in AVC Nations Cup 2025. In that dramatic match, Indonesia managed to complete a comeback with scores:

  • Set 1: 22-25
  • Set 2: 22-25
  • Set 3: 25-19
  • Set 4: 25-23
  • Set 5: 15-8

This victory serves as valuable capital for Indonesia to reclaim their ASEAN dominance, after Thailand broke their hegemony last year by winning both legs of SEA V League.
