Indonesia men’s volleyball team faces Bahrain for Pool A leadership

Indonesia men’s national volleyball team will face host Bahrain in a Pool A decider of AVC Nations Cup 2025 — the match takes place at Isa Bin Rashed Hall tonight at 23:00 WIB.

Both teams have good momentum after defeating Thailand in their opening matches — Bahrain won 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-19, 25-22), while Indonesia secured a dramatic 3-2 victory (22-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-8).

Assistant coach of Indonesia men’s volleyball team, Erwin Rusni emphasized the need for improvements:

“From yesterday’s evaluation, we need to reduce our own mistakes, especially in serving and defense. For the Bahrain match, we will determine tactics after video briefing. Clearly, we will fix our mistakes from the first match where we were too hasty.”

Bahrain’s head coach, Arnaud Josserand admitted he is not yet familiar with Indonesia’s team strength ahead of this important match.
