Indonesia meets Saudi Arabia and Iraq in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

Based on the draw at AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Indonesia has been placed in Group B of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers fourth round — alongside Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

The team under Patrick Kluivert faces a significant challenge considering their previous encounter records. The Garuda squad has a less than favorable record against Iraq — known as the Lions of Mesopotamia.

Under former coach Shin Tae-yong, Indonesia faced Iraq three times — failing to secure victory in any of these encounters.
