Indonesia to Face Five Teams in Group B of the 2025 Asia Junior Championships

Indonesia’s badminton team is set for a tough challenge in Group B of the 2025 Asia Junior Championships — the group with the highest number of participants in the team event’s group stage.

Under the competition format, the Garuda squad will face four opponents: Malaysia, Singapore, Macau, and Myanmar. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals.

The tournament is scheduled to take place at GOR Manahan, Surakarta, from 18–22 July 2025, marking Indonesia’s third consecutive time as host nation.

Despite home-court advantage, Indonesia’s performance in the last two editions fell short of expectations. The team — featuring Alwi Farhan and Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu — suffered a 2–3 defeat to Japan in the 2023 final, and in 2024, their campaign ended in the semifinals following a 1–3 loss to South Korea.
