The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) has confirmed that the national team will travel to Japan using a chartered flight, following a directive from PSSI Chairman, Erick Thohir. The arrangement was revealed by Secretary General, Yunus Nusi.

Travel Plans Finalized after Win Over China

The decision follows Indonesia’s 1-0 victory over China in their ninth Group C match of the 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers, held at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta.

The Garuda squad is now preparing for their final match of the third round, which will take place at Suita City Football Stadium in Osaka, Japan.

“I have been assigned by the Chairman to arrange a chartered plane,” Yunus Nusi stated, emphasizing the importance of maintaining player focus and logistical efficiency ahead of the high-stakes fixture.

Key Players Return as Indonesia Targets Japan Clash

Head coach Shin Tae-yong, will benefit from a strengthened squad, as two players return from suspension to reinforce the team ahead of the crucial away match against Japan. The match is expected to be a stern test for Indonesia as they close out their Group C campaign.
