Indonesia advances to fourth round of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

Indonesia’s national team has written new history by advancing to the fourth round of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Asia Zone — despite being considered an underdog in the competition.

The Garuda squad progressed after finishing fourth in Group C, while Saudi Arabia who secured third place also guaranteed their ticket to the next round.

Currently, six teams have secured their spots in the fourth round:

• Indonesia
• Saudi Arabia
• Iraq
• Oman
• Qatar
• United Arab Emirates

The fourth round competition format will divide these six teams into two groups — with each group containing three teams through a draw that will be held next month.

The fourth round matches will be organized in a centralized format to ensure smooth competition.
