Indonesia Absent from ASEAN Club Championship 2025/2026

The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) announced that Indonesia will not participate in the ASEAN Club Championship 2025/2026 — this became evident from the absence of Indonesian representatives during the draw held last Friday.

Johor Darul Ta’zim from Malaysia and Buriram United FC from Thailand — the defending champions — are among the strong teams that will compete in this regional competition.

Previously, two clubs were planned to represent Indonesia in this tournament:

• Persebaya Surabaya
• Malut United

Through its official statement, AFF confirmed that Indonesia did not register its representatives for this competition — a situation indicating unfulfilled administrative requirements requested by the federation.
