Indonesia Sends 7 Players to 2025 Singapore Open

The BWF World Tour Super 750 Singapore Open 2025 will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium from May 27 to June 1. Indonesia will be represented by seven players in the tournament.

Jonatan Christie is set to make his professional debut after officially leaving the Cipayung national training center in April. Seeded fifth, he was initially scheduled to face Ng Tze Yong of Malaysia, but the opponent was replaced due to a knee injury.

Ng Tze Yong sustained the injury during a match against Ng Ka Long Angus at the Malaysia Masters 2025, with scores:

• Set 1: 22-20
• Set 2: 4-3 (retired)

Indonesia will not field any representatives in the women’s singles event due to their focus on preparing for the Indonesia Open 2025 scheduled next week.

Meanwhile, Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana return to action after Leo recovered from a knee injury sustained at the 2025 Badminton Asia Championships. They will face Thailand’s Kittinupong Kedren/Dechapol Puavaranukroh in the opening round.
