Iga Swiatek makes history with perfect victory in Wimbledon final

Iga Swiatek achieved an extraordinary feat by defeating Amanda Anisimova in the Wimbledon final with a perfect score of 6-0, 6-0 — becoming the third double-bagel victory in women’s Grand Slam final history.

The 24-year-old Polish tennis player needed only 57 minutes to complete the match — marking a record that was last achieved in 1988 when Steffi Graf defeated Natasha Zvereva at Roland Garros.

This victory marks Swiatek’s sixth Grand Slam title, completing her collection of four Roland Garros trophies and one US Open — making her the eighth female player to win major titles on all court surfaces.

The match was thoroughly dominant with Swiatek leading 55-24 in total points, while Anisimova struggled to find her rhythm — committing 28 unforced errors.

This achievement also marks Swiatek’s 100th victory in major tournaments, achieved in 120 Grand Slam matches — becoming the fastest player to reach this milestone since Serena Williams.

For Amanda Anisimova, this was her first Grand Slam final — an achievement that will propel her into the world’s top 10 rankings for the first time in her career.
