Ibrahima Konate Rejects €25M Real Madrid Bid, Liverpool Demand €50M

Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konaté has reportedly turned down early interest from Real Madrid, following a €25 million offer that falls short of the Premier League club’s valuation.

According to multiple sources in Spain and England, Real Madrid approached Liverpool with a €20–25 million bid for the 25-year-old Frenchman. However, Liverpool are holding firm, reportedly valuing Konaté at €50 million, seeing him as a vital part of new manager Arne Slot’s defensive plans.

Despite recent injury struggles, Konaté remains highly regarded at Anfield, having formed a strong partnership with Virgil van Dijk since joining from RB Leipzig in 2021. His age, physical presence, and Champions League experience add to his long-term value.

While flattered by Madrid’s interest, sources close to Konaté suggest he is focused on reclaiming his starting role at Liverpool and has no desire to push for a transfer this summer.

With the transfer window still open, the situation may evolve — but as it stands, no agreement has been reached, and Liverpool are unlikely to negotiate unless a significantly improved offer is made.
