Prediksi Hungaria vs Swedia di Pertandingan Persahabatan (07.06.2025)

On Friday, June 7 at 00:30 WIB, a friendly match between the national football teams of Hungary and Sweden will take place at the Puskás Arena in Budapest. Both teams are using the summer break to prepare for the autumn qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup.

In the Hungary – Sweden matchup, bookmakers’ predictions do not favor either side. A bet on the “Tricolors” to win comes with odds of 2.60, a draw at 3.52, and a win for the “Blue and Yellows” also at 2.60. Analysts expect a moderate number of goals in this friendly match, with odds for over 3.5 total goals at 1.79. The odds for both teams to score are set at 1.63.

Hungary

Hungary’s national football federation has trusted Italian coach Marco Rossi with the head coach role for many years. In recent seasons, however, the team’s performance has slightly declined. Fans were clearly disappointed when the “Tricolors” were knocked out in the group stage of the last Euros. That was followed by relegation in the UEFA Nations League. Overall, the team performs at a mid-level. Yes, they have a few European-level stars, such as captain Dominik Szoboszlai of Liverpool. But generally, the Hungarian team is a solid mid-tier side that will have to fight hard in the autumn to qualify for the World Cup against strong Portugal and resilient Ireland.

Sweden

Jon Dahl Tomasson is working on building chemistry in a more star-studded squad. In attack alone, there are players like Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting Lisbon and Alexander Isak from Newcastle. It’s understandable that the coaching staff might not field the strongest squad for a friendly match. They also need to test their bench depth. In autumn, Sweden will compete with Switzerland, Slovenia, and Kosovo for a place in the 2026 World Cup.

Statistics and Head-to-Head

Over the past decade, the teams haven’t faced each other in official tournaments. In 2016, the national teams also met in a friendly match in Budapest, and the Scandinavian visitors won 2–0.

Prediction

In friendlies, much depends on the goals set by each head coach. It’s hard to expect full effort from key players who have just come off intense seasons, especially in a regular friendly. For example, Szoboszlai had a rough season due to health issues, and Isak picked up a minor injury in mid-May. The main objective now is to avoid aggravating injuries and fatigue that have built up over the season. Therefore, we predict that neither team will manage to score in both halves, with this bet priced at 1.66.
