Hu Zhe An Advances to Malaysia Masters 2025 Main Draw

Hu Zhe An, an 18-year-old rising shuttler from China, secured a crucial victory in the qualification round of the Malaysia Masters 2025 held at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur.

Currently ranked world No. 91, Hu defeated host player Kok Jing Hong, ranked world No. 78, with a score of 22-20, 21-11.

In the first game, Hu Zhe An led by a wide margin at 17-9, but Kok Jing Hong fought back to level at 20-20. However, the young Chinese player held his nerve and clinched the opening game with two straight points.

The second game was more straightforward, as Hu Zhe An dominated from start to finish — closing the match with a commanding 21-11 score to secure a place in the main draw of the BWF Super 500 tournament.
