Hot Incident in Chicago: Logano and Chastain Confrontation After NASCAR Race

The Chicago circuit incident sparked tensions between Ross Chastain and Joey Logano — two drivers known for their aggressive racing styles.

The situation unfolded during a late-race restart at Turn 1, where Chastain spun and subsequently retaliated against Logano’s No. 22 car — resulting in both Logano and Ricky Stenhouse Jr being forced off track.

“Ross better get the information right before he goes and wrecks somebody,” Logano communicated via team radio after the incident.

Post-race, Logano immediately confronted Chastain to express his disappointment. To FOX Sports, Logano revealed:

“He admitted he wrecked me on purpose, which means he should get fined… that’s not okay.”

Stenhouse, who had to end his race early, responded by posting a video of a watermelon being smashed on social media — referencing Chastain’s background as an eighth-generation watermelon farmer.

This incident adds to the growing tension between both drivers, following previous conflicts at COTA and Martinsville earlier this year.
